Complete Details
Most people jump into UI tools without understanding why certain designs work and others fall flat. This program focuses on the fundamental principles that make interfaces feel right.
You will work through visual hierarchy, learning how to guide user attention through size, contrast, and spacing. Typography gets dedicated coverage because poorly chosen fonts or bad spacing ruins otherwise solid designs. Color theory goes beyond picking pretty palettes—understanding contrast ratios for accessibility and psychological impact matters more.
What makes this different
Each concept connects directly to real interface problems. When studying white space, you will redesign cluttered dashboards. Learning about grid systems means rebuilding actual app layouts that feel off-balance.
The program includes critique sessions where you analyze popular apps to understand their visual decisions. You will spot the patterns successful products use and learn why certain approaches fail in user testing.
Design is not just about making things pretty. It is about creating clarity in complex information.
By the end, you will have redesigned five complete interfaces and built a solid foundation for any UI work ahead.
